A Time to Lead

A Time to Lead

Build Team Leadership and a path to a Organizational Health during COVID 19 shut down

The strange times persist with uncertainty ahead. Having bullwheels not spinning with plenty of snow on the hills, parking lots empty with snowy trails is all strangely eerie. For those who have been furloughed or laid off, the ski world is pulling for you, and we are all in this together. Snow will fall, people still yearn to slide downhill and mountain communities will thrive again.

Now is a time for leadership. Yes, federal, state, and local, but I’m talking about within your ski area. Coming out of this COVID 19 pandemic will be split into two camps, those who will become stronger organizations and those who will be weaker or nonexistent. The leadership given or built during these times will be the deciding factor.

Is your team, whether it be the executive leadership team, a divisional team, or the lift maintenance leadership, a behavioral cohesive team? Are you leading during this crisis?

As we are at home, now is the opportunity to address building cohesive leadership and the health of your organization. There are simple steps that can be shared through virtual technology to give you the tools to come out of these unprecedented times stronger than before the lifts were shuttered.

Steep Management can help. Many of you think of Steep in terms of MountainOffice, a dynamite tool for organizing mountain ops in terms of managing maintenance and organizing documentation, but Steep has schooling and experience in dealing with leadership and developing healthy organizations and cultures. The tools to assist you are in place, and Steep is willing to work with you dealing with payment later.

Be safe and be well.
