Bob’s Bits for September/October 2024

September and most of October came and went for me. This issue of the STEEP Newsletter will combine September and October, which fits with your schedule. Your workload is picking up, and combining means one less email in your inbox. Although I would love to increase my open rate, that is for another day.

Newsletter Reflection and Leadership Insights

Although starting these newsletters can sometimes feel like a chore, once I dive in, they transform into a source of genuine enjoyment. My challenge lies in promoting the excellent offerings that STEEP represents. This aspect proves difficult for me. Nevertheless, my goal has always been to ensure that the STEEP newsletter provides value to you, regardless of your interest in purchasing my services. This month, I have stayed true to the leadership theme of the past two newsletters. Delving into research and literature on effective leadership catalyzes my reflections on past experiences and workable solutions for challenges. This mental exercise is not only rewarding but also engaging. As you prepare to hire staff for the upcoming season, I have curated insights from my readings to aid you in making better hiring decisions and guiding your teams through the winter months. Feel free to reach out to bounce ideas around any time.

Winter is here. Two ski areas, one in Colorado and one in Massachusetts, are open. As we move forward, more lifts will be spinning in November. Let us hope La Nina is productive this winter.
