Many of us, myself included, think that once we communicate something that we don’t need to repeat ourselves. Once you have raised children you realize that this is not always the case. However, it is not only children who need clarity; repeating instructions or the why something has to be done, it is ourselves that needed that clarity.
Again I defer to Patrick Lencioni for an explanation. And repeating myself, I seriously encourage you to read his books, The Advantage and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. They can be found here at this link.
Here is a short clip by Patrick Lencioni, explaining the reason for over-communicating clarity. I think he says it so well and with such simplicity that it just makes pure sense.
Don’t hesitate to repeat yourself; it is in the ski area’s, your staff’s, and your best interest.
