It is well known how important feedback is in the employee engagement process. It is also important in creating a strong company culture. In prior posts I have often referred to pieces that have been written on this subject but often they have been about tech companies, which requires some creativity making the transition to ski area mountain operations.
I found this article in the Harvard Business Review library and thought it would have more relevance than most articles. I don’t mean to imply that ski area mountain operation’s staff are felons but the similarity to the physical labor with a customer service aspect of a moving company is more similar then a software coder.
What I found really fascinating was the Games exercise and the 200% accountability aspect. I could easily see these exercises having excellent value in snowmaking and lift operations.
